What is this?

This is an ongoing comic series called 24hr. Rock Club.

This is a weird little project that started with a need to show off what I love to do — Telling stories.

Weirdo, wacky, off-the-wall, sometimes cerebral, kind of stupid stories. Stories that reflect places and people I’ve seen and met and loved and left. Stories from my dreams, that wake me up laughing. Inside jokes. Outside jokes. Fart jokes. Stuff that scares me. Stuff that makes me wonder just what the hell it all means.

I wanted a sandbox to play in and created this world for this very reason. You’re very welcome to come join me, the water is fine.

Some Sessions will be short — a page or two or even a single image — some will be long, and might take a while to get to. I promise to make them all as enjoyable as I know how.

By subscribing to this comic in newsletter format, you’ll not only get every installment of 24 hr. Rock Club, but you’ll also get fun tid-bits of what I’m up to, other projects I’m working on, what friends and the internet are doing, and other things that I think are fun or at the very least interesting.

Who?

Ah, yes. Sorry, getting ahead of myself. My name’s Michael Patrick Bailey, and I’m a Los Angeles-based writer and illustrator. I draw comics, children’s books, art for movies and television, and pretty much anything else you can do with a pen or brush.

How often will this comic come out?

I’ll update sporadically, but will update at least monthly. Maybe more if I can’t seem to help myself (very likely).

The more people who read, the more I’ll post— so share away!

Why is there paid and un-paid? Is there a difference?

No, there’s no difference. You still get the monthly installment of the comic if you only subscribe for free. The main difference is that paid subscriptions allow a full-time freelancer like myself to spend more time on projects like this.

Also, these comics are all done analog— real deal ink on good clean stock. Your subscription bucks help there, too.
